Pankaj Advani is one of the most seasoned Indian cueists of all time and holds several records to his name. Advani is the only Indian to have won the Amateur World title in both snooker and billiards. Adding to this, he is the only person to win World titles in both snooker and billiards in all formats.

He has also been bestowed with several national awards, which include the Arjuna Award in 2004, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in 2006, the Padma Shri in 2009, and also the Padma Bhushan in 2018. Adding to this list he has also won the Arjuna Award in 2004, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in 2006, Padma Shri in 2009 and Padma Bhushan in 2018.
