4. Zaheer Khan
Zaheer Khan was every captain’s dream fast bowler on the cricket field. The left-arm seamer was a nightmare for opening batters, especially left-handers. He dismissed South Africa’s captain Graeme Smith on several occasions in his career.
His best ever performance came during the 2011 ODI world cup where he finished as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament, with 21 wickets to his name. He was relentless in his opening spell and was a terrific exponent of reverse swing during his second spell. Zaheer picked up 90 wickets under MS Dhoni in 63 matches at an average of 30 and economy of 5.
