3. Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp

Van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp are two South African cricketers. Dane van Niekerk was a former South African captain who played a key role in the transformation of the side. Back in 2018, the former South African captain had made her relationship official. Van Niekerk announced Marizanne Kapp as her partner. The two dated each other for a long time and finally married in a private ceremony. In a social media post, Kapp announced to the world their sexuality. On the field, they were highly successful cricketers and won several matches for South Africa.

During their time, they were All-rounders with different roles. While Van Niekerk was someone who could bowl a bit and was a genuine batter, her partner, Kapp was a medium-pace bowler primarily, who could also bat lower down the order. The two shared a good partnership even on the field. They scored a lot of runs for their side and are amongst the topmost wicket takers for their side in international cricket. Interestingly, both of them were one of the first girls to join the boys’ academy as emerging talents in South Africa.
