Fight Club movie review:
With the hyperlink narrative, director Abbas R. Rahmath created a strong first half. The dark humour in the first half was effective and elicited laughter. The screenplay, however, goes haywire in the second half because there isn’t enough meat to milk the story. Many of the film’s fight scenes are pointless. The love story between Vijay Kumar and Monisha Mohan Menon adds nothing to the plot.
‘Fight Club,’ on the other hand, is technically strong. The craftsmanship is excellent, and you can’t help but admire cinematographer Leon Britto and editor Kripakaran’s efforts. Govind Vasantha’s music and background score have contributed to the visuals. Vijay Kumar, Kaarthekeyan Santhanam, Avinash Raghudevan, and Saravanavel give excellent performances.
‘Fight Club’ could have been much more impactful if it had placed as much emphasis on the screenplay as it did on the technical aspects. Even though it has not made a stunning impact, you can watch it once.
