The FIFA World Cup 2022 kicked off on November 20 in Qatar and since then, the spectators have been witnessing the best games and the worst as well. Saudi Arabia’s crushing win against Argentina in the group stages turned out to be the talk of the town, given the latter are known for their aggression and grit. As things stand, Brazil and South Korea locked horns in the Round of 16 stage and it was the former who were absolutely crushing the opponents during the crucial match.

To add more, the first half turned out to be a dominating one and the Brazilian camp were thriving to end the first 45 minutes on a high. Silencing the critics, Brazil went on to score 4 goals in the first half and it looked like they have won the game already. Concerning the goals, it was Vini Jr who opened the account for the team, followed by a penalty goal from Neymar Jr. Richarlison, the star player who impressed with his bicycle kick goal earlier in the tournament, tripled the lead in the 29th minute.

Eventually, Lucas Paquetá scored the 4th goal for the Brazilian camp in the 36th minute and put South Korea on the back right away. At the stroke of the first-half whistle, the scoreline remained at 4-0 in Brazil’s favour and it remained to be seen if the latter would make a comeback in the deciding half.

Eventually, the South Korean team tried to match the lead and make a comeback in the game and the Brazilian camp refrained from conceding a goal as the score remained unchanged at the 50-minute mark. South Korea will have a lot to work on, although one has to agree that the team put on a great fight right throughout the biggest sporting event. However, their star player Paik Seung-ho, opened the account for the team in the 76th minute and refrained from conceding a clean sheet to Brazil.

After toiling hard for nearly 90 minutes, Brazil emerged victorious and the scoreline remained at 4-1 at the stroke of the final whistle. It was a heartbreak for South Korea, given that they gave it their all to qualify for the Round of 16 stage of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022.
