FIFA World Cup 2022: Top five goals of the tournament

These goals will be remembered in history for a long long time to come.

Giorgian de Arrascaeta’s second goal against Ghana

Uruguay had a poor run at FIFA World Cup 2022 as they failed to get out of Group H. Although their World Cup campaign will be quickly forgotten, one of their goals has the quality to be etched into history books for everyone to see.

Against Ghana, Uruguay produced a great team goal that is being talked about long after Uruguay’s ouster from the mega event. The goal took place at the 32nd-minute mark when a ball from midfield was played to one Uruguay player at the edge of the box on the right side. The player then cooly heads the ball into the path of Luis Suarez who makes a split-second decision to lob it to Giorgian de Arrascaeta on the left. Arrascaeta had still so much to do but he was able to put the ball into the right bottom corner of the box, completing a great team goal.
