Everything you should know about Sarfaraz Khan and his beloved wife Romana Zahoor’s love story
It’s a dream come true for Sarfaraz Khan as he has finally made his Test debut for India in the third Test match against England in Niranjan Shah Stadium, Rajkot. Sarfaraz Khan scored a maiden fifty from just 48 balls in his debut game and became the joint second-fastest to score a half-century by an India batter on debut along with Hardik Pandya. Before getting run out due to a wrong call by Ravindra Jadeja he scored 62 runs from 66 balls.
Although it was a wonderful day for Sarfaraz Khan and Naushad Khan his father along with Sarfaraz’s wife Romana Zahoor supported him from the stands during his batting in the Test match. Sarfaraz Khan started a new chapter of his life as he tied the knot with Romana on 6th August 2023 in 2023 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sarfaraz Khan’s family was in tears as he got his Test cap
As per reports Romana is from the Shopian district of Kashmir and she completed her BSc. She first met Sarfaraz Khan through her cousin as she came to watch a match where Sarfaraz Khan was playing. They both fell in love immediately after they first met. Later Romana approaches him with a marriage proposal to his family. Both families agreed and the couple ft married with their families’ blessing. As India’s greatest spinner handed the cap to Sarfaraz Khan ahead of the third Test Romana’s eyes were full of tears. Later Sarfaraz Khan wiped her tears off.
Sarfaraz Khan’s father’s eyes were also full of tears as he went to show him his Test cap. Naushad Khan father of Sarfaraz Khan kissed his Test cap hugged time and praised him for his debut. After the end of Day 1 Musheer Khan who is Sarfaraz Khan’s brother gave him a surprise video call. His brother has recently played for India in the U19 World Cup.
Musheer lauded his brother’s knock and stated that he was on his nerve as played a sweep shot over short fine as the ball hit the top-edged. As he missed a good opportunity to score a century in the first innings he will look to score in the second innings.
