Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag has been critical of Cristiano Ronaldo’s outburst in his explosive interview with Piers Morgan and wants that the Portugal striker should not play for the Manchester United club ever again.

Reportedly, Ten Hag organized a meeting with co-chairman Joel Glazer, chief executive Richard Arnold, and football director John Murtough on Monday to discuss the same and very categorically stated that he isn’t willing to accommodate Ronaldo as it would disturb the unity within the squad.

The coach doesn’t want Ronaldo in the team anymore and is prepared to face the consequence even if the club fails to find a replacement in the January transfer window.

According to a report by ESPN, Ten Hag had delayed his family holiday only to deal with the matter. He feels that Ronaldo has gone too far ahead in his criticism of the club and the manager himself.

Notably, the club found out about the interview hours after a 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday. United is, reportedly, looking to deal with the situation in the best possible manner.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest-paid player ever at the club in the history of the Premier League. However, reports suggest that United is looking to terminate Ronaldo’s agreement before it expires next summer. It is worth mentioning that the club has all the rights to terminate the Portugal footballer’s contract due to what employment lawyers term “a potential breach of the implied duty of trust and confidence”.

Earlier, in his interview, Cristiano Ronaldo made some harsh remarks about the United Manager as well as the current owners, the Glazers.

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me,” Ronaldo said. “If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.” He said.

“The owners of the club, the Glazers, they don’t care about the club, professional sport.

“Manchester are a marketing club – they get money from the marketing.

“It will be hard for Manchester to be top of the game in the next two or three years.”
