Eric Ten Hag does not want Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United- Reports
Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag expects Marcus Rashford to remain at Club despite rumors stating that Paris St. Germain have made a contact with the forward’s representatives. Rashford’s form had drastically dipped last season as he scored just four goals in 25 Premier League games, which led to him being axed from the England squad just months before the World Cup.
The 24-year-old has one year left on his contract with an extension of another year if the club requires it. He has twice scored in wins against PSG in the Champions League at the Parc des Princes.
“He’s really important,” Ten Hag said. “You have seen from the first day I’m here, I’m really happy with him, I don’t want to lose him. “He’s definitely in our plans at Manchester United.”
Speculations are rife that Rashford might leave Manchester United well before his contract ends but coach Eric Ten Hag has quashed all the rumours on the same.
It has been a struggle for Manchester United to sign Marquee players and there is a fear developing that the side will not be able to put together a good squad before the transfer window ends.
A prolonged chase for Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie de Jong, has proved futile, while United, reportedly, also abandoned a move for Marko Arnautovic this week due to a fan backlash. The potential arrival of Juventus midfielder, Adrien Rabiot, has also been criticized by supporters for lacking ambition.
When quipped if he will have the squad he needs by the time the transfer window closes on September 1, Ten Hag added: “We have to. I am convinced we will have.”
For now, United have a shortage of attacking options with Anthony Martial out injured and Cristiano Ronaldo still being eased in after missing the club’s pre-season trip to Asia and Australia.

“He had a good training week,” he said. “He’s had two half-games and for the starting XI, we will see tomorrow. It’s my decision, I keep it.”
Ten Hag said Ronaldo would be involved at Brentford on Saturday, but would not be drawn on whether he will start.
“I know there is always pressure, I have the experience, how it is,” he said. “I know we have to win every game, I know the fans, I know everyone expects Manchester United to win every game. “We have to deal with that and all I can do is prepare the team as well as I can this weekend.”
