‘Emotion’s at it’s peak’ – Fans react to Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki trailer
No Shah Rukh Khan film is complete without a memorable train scene, and the Dunki trailer is no exception. Hardy, played by Shah Rukh Khan, tells stories about his friendship, his people, and his motherland. Hardy introduces us to four of his closest friends, all of whom mean the world to him. One of them is Vicky Kaushal, who gets lost in translation.
Mannu, played by Taapsee Pannu, has Hardy’s heart. She battles the world to stand up for him. Boman Irani is the English teacher who promises to prepare them for life in London, but it isn’t as simple as it appears. Hardy and his gang decide to travel to London regardless of the language barrier. They miss their homeland as they embark on a journey together, overcoming every obstacle in their path. The trailer concludes with a montage of an older Hardy running on a racetrack. He started the story, and he is supposed to finish it. We’ll have to wait until December 21 to see if Hardy follows through on a promise.

Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by SRK and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, will be released on December 21. It is SRK’s first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. The film also stars Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal in addition to Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu.
