‘Ekdum kadak maal hai’- Ravichandran Ashwin sniffing 2 jerseys to identify his own starts a meme-fest on Twitter
Team India has qualified for the 20-20 World Cup semi-final on back of a great all-round performance at the mega event. The Rohit Sharma-led side hasn’t looked back since starting their World Cup campaign with a win over arch-rivals Pakistan. Since then, the Indian team has brought about 3 wins in 4 matches.
Having topped the Group 2 table, India have set up a semi-final tie with England on November 10th. Currently, there are no World Cup matches going on which has given fans some time to reflect on the campaign so far.
A day without a World Cup match has also driven fans to find funny moments from the matches gone by. One such video that is doing the rounds of the internet is of Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. The video that has been replied to by Ashwin himself, shows the bowler smelling two Indian vests in order to figure out which one is his.
The incident took place at the toss between India and Zimbabwe. Rohit Sharma had won the toss and was revealing his playing XI when the camera captured Ashwin picking up two vests from the ground and taking a look at both in order to identify his Team India vest.
The bowling all-rounder checks for any identification marks but upon not finding any starts to sniff both jerseys. Interestingly, Ashwin then appears to correctly identify his very own jersey, following which he drops the other one on the ground and walks away.
As soon as the video was posted by a Twitter netizen began reacting to the video. Not just fans but even cricketers such as Harbhajan Singh and Abhinav Mukund reacted to the video and claimed how funny it was.
Ashwin also reacted to the video and pointed out his thought process during the moment. He said that he had first checked for sizes and then initials but had to take a sniff of the perfume in order to identify his jersey.

Twitter however was without a World Cup match and had enough time for the video. Netizens also did not care for Ashwin’s logic and were sure that he sniffed for his odour as many hostel boys do. This is how Twitter reacted to Ashwin sniffing his team India jersey.
