‘Ek century ke baad itna attitude- Fans angry after Rohit Sharma fumes at cameraman for showing his face instead of DRS footage

India defeated Australia by a big margin of an inning and 123 runs. This was the third biggest win for India in terms of innings victories. The World Number Two Test side was too good for the Kangaroos as the Indian spinners ran riot in just two and a half days. India has taken a 1-0 lead going into the second Test at Delhi.

During the Day Three of the match, Ravichandran Ashwin appealed for an lbw decision against Peter Handscomb. The on-field umpire ruled it not out. The home team decided to challenge the call in the form of DRS. The cameras immediately panned on Rohit Sharma to catch his reaction. This made him angry.

He made an immediate gesture to the cameraperson where he appeared to say why are the cameras pointing to his face when they need to be showing the review. This gesture from the India skipper immediately went viral on social media. The 2021 World Test Championship finalists dominated the Aussies from start to finish during the first Test in Nagpur.

Ravichandran Ashwin picked up eight wickets in the match against Australia

In the first innings, Ravindra Jadeja was the star with the ball as he picked up 5-47 in his 22-over spell and just froze the Kangaroos, Subsequently, the visitors were bowled out for 177 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin picked up 3-42. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne were the best batters for Australia.

When India came out to bat, the big contributions came from Rohit who played a sensational inning of 120 off 212 balls with 15 fours and two sixes. After the 35-year-old, Sharma got out at 229-6, the duo of Jadeja and Axar Patel got together and bailed India out. Jadeja made 70 off 189 balls with nine fours and Axar made 84 off 174 balls with 10 fours and one six. They helped the side reach 400 runs. With this, they led by 223 runs after the first innings.

In the second innings, the Indian bowlers were no match for the Australians as they crumbled to the spin trio of Jadeja, Ashwin, and Patel. They got together spun a web and bowled Australia out for 91. India has started off the Border- Gavaskar Trophy on the right note and will look to continue it through the series.
