India and Bangladesh are facing off in the first Test on December 14, Wednesday and Day 3 of the contest was dominated by the likes of Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara. While Pujara looked rock solid at the other end, Gill was toying with the Bangla Tigers pacers and eventually managed to reach the three-figure landmark.

The right-handed batter scored a century to his name and made a strong comeback in the longest format of the game, given that Gill has proved his prowess in the 50-over format this year. It was a knock for the ages as the batter more or less cemented his place in the Test setup with the knock as people consider him to be the next big thing in Indian cricket.

The Indian batter contributed only 20 runs to India’s scoreboard in the first innings and it remained to be seen if he would make a statement in the second innings. Much to the delight of the Indian fans, the batter bounced back and scored a thumping century, eventually silencing his critics who questioned his inclusion in the side.
