Dhanashree Verma pens down a heartfelt message to Yuzvendra Chahal after he gets selected for the 20-20 World Cup 2022
Yuzvendra Chahal has been one of the superstars with the ball for the Men in Blue ever since he made his debut in white ball cricket for India. His best performance in T20I cricket was a six-wicket haul for India against England at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
His strength has been the ability to toss the ball up and entice the batter into a big shot. The leg spinner has picked up 85 wickets in 69 matches at an average of 24.64 and an economy rate of 8.12. The leg spinner had a drop in form till the second half of the Indian T20 League which was held in the United Arab Emirates.
He picked up 14 wickets from 8 matches but returned to form, later. However, even then the selectors did not consider him for the 20-20 World Cup and preferred Rahul Chahar over him.
However, things took a turn for the better in 2022 as he has been selected for the 20-20 World Cup and has left for Australia to play for the Men in Blue in 2022. Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife, Dhanashree, shared a heartfelt message for her husband on Instagram.
She shared a picture of herself with Chahal in the Instagram post and wrote that it is an auspicious and proud day for her as her husband. She further added, “Sending best wishes to the team. Unbelievable, overwhelming feeling.”

One person wrote, “Wishing you all the very best, sir.” Another person said, “You both are looking nice; stay blessed. All the best.” Someone even added, “You are my inspiration, Chahal sir!” “Lovely pic. All the best wishes to the team. Stay blessed,” added a fourth.
India will look to bring the silverware home in this edition. They have not been able to get their hands on the T20 trophy since 2007.
