‘Day 5? humare yaha sab bol rahe, AUS will beat IND by innings on Day 3’ – Fans react as AB de Villiers predicts how WTC final will pan out
The World Test Championship final will be a blockbuster event that will be played in England at the Oval between 7 to 11 June. Since the match will be played at a neutral venue, the Dukes ball will be used. England is hosting the WTC final for the second time. India will be playing their second WTC final. They lost the 2021 final to New Zealand at Southampton.
Ahead of the big clash, AB de Villiers pegged India as the side with the advantage over Australia and said that India will emerge victorious on Day 5. India will have good vibes coming into the Oval as they defeated England when the Men in Blue last played a test match here. When India played the Test series against England in 2021 the series ended in a draw at 2-2. India played that tour under Virat Kohli.
It is very difficult to say who are favourites – AB de Villiers ahead of the World Test Championship final
“Very difficult to say who are the favourites. Both teams have not been playing a lot of Test cricket of late but what I can say is that India in their last Test match at the Oval have got a win against this very strong England team. They will be taking a bit of confidence from that,” De Villiers said on Jio Cinema. “I think India will come out on top on day five of the Test match. I think it might go all the way. It’s a good wicket to bat on but I think the Indian spinners will come into play in the latter stages of the Test match,” The former South African cricketer added.
De Villers backed Virat Kohli to perform well in English conditions and stated that the star India batter had done well recently. He also called Jasprit Bumrah’s absence a big blow but he said that India have Mohammed Siraj to fill the Bumrah void. “Bumrah is a big loss for the Indian bowling attack, but I do think that Mohammed Siraj is in the form of his life. He has done well there before. He has got that extra pace. He nips it around off-stump, and I think he is the biggest asset in India’s bowling attack,” De Villiers added.

I would be surprised if India reaches fifth day.
It's gonna be another eye opener for IPL greats, who would fail in english conditions.
