Aaron Finch-led Australian team is on a tour of Sri Lanka to play a three-match T20I, five-match ODI, and two-match Test series. Out of these, the three-match T20I series has been concluded between both teams. The visitors won the series with a score line of 2-1 having a defeat in the last game to their name.

Recently, the limited-overs captain of the Sri Lankan team, Dasun Shanaka has come up with a beautiful gesture for a young fan. He met him after the hosts’ win in the third T20I of the series where Shanaka led the team to victory with his batting heroics in the death overs.

Skipper Shanaka made the day of a young fan

He played a blistering half-century knock to achieve the remaining big target of 59 runs in the last 3 overs of the last T20I. Shanaka went on to outplay the Aussie bowling attack in the death overs of the game. He smashed 55 off just 24 balls having 4 sixes and 5 boundaries to his name.

Sri Lankan Cricket has shared a photo on Twitter in which Shanaka can be seen meeting with the young fan in Pallekele. As the hosts claimed a six-wicket win in the match, The TV cameras were moved to the young who was looking very passionate in his celebration.

The whole scene was captured beautifully by the TV broadcasters. Notably, the Sri Lankan fans could have been seen in a humongous number at Colombo and Pallekele. They backed their senior national team throughout the whole series. After facing two successive defeats in the first and second T20I, Shanka’s men made a brilliant comeback in the last match of the series to clinch a six-wicket win over the visitors. To note, this series between Sri Lanka and Australia is being played amidst a major internal crisis in the island country. This country is facing this crisis due to a big blow of political and economic outbreak.
