Taking note of Gill’s exploits, Sachin Tendulkar wrote a heartfelt tweet on Twitter, elucidating Gill’s greatness and his batting prowess. He talked about all the qualities that Gill had and mentioned that there was certain ease in his run-scoring. Tendulkar then went on to say how marvellously Gill had batted against MI in the eliminator. Then, Tendulkar talked about the game of cricket being a great leveller.

Then, Gill did an Uno reverse and blew away MI with an innings of the highest class in the IPL eliminator. Gill smashed the MI bowlers with aplomb as he blazed away to 129 off 60 balls with seven fours and ten sixes. His strike rate through the course of that innings was 215. GT has been dominant as ever in IPL 2023. They have three of their bowlers in the race for the Purple Cap.
