‘Credit goes to thala’- Fans relieved as Kedar Jhadav’s father found after going missing
Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav’s father Mahesh Jhadav was found after it was reported that he was absconded. Jadhav had, earlier, filed a complaint at Alankar police station hours after his father went missing. The cricketer said that his father was suffering from dementia (a general term for memory loss). Jadhav’s father is 75 years old and he stepped out of their house in Kothrud.
He went for a morning walk and was last seen at the gate of the housing complex.
“His condition is fine and he has been reunited with his family,” Ajit Lakde Senior Inspector of Mundhwa police station said. It was earlier stated that he did not inform anyone before he left the house. He could not be traced by his family members. After that a missing complaint was filed by Jadhav.
Kedar Jadhav represented India in 73 ODIs and scored 1389 runs
Once the police complaint was registered, the search operation began. A team from Alankar Police station carried Mahadev’s photograph to other stations in the city as the police searched to find Jadhav’s father. Mahesh was found in the Mundhwa area, an official said.
Talking about Jadhav’s cricketing career, the right-handed batter has represented India in 73 ODIs and scored 1389 runs. He scored those runs at an average of 42.09 and a strike rate of 101.61. He has two hundreds and six fifties in the ODI format. In T20Is, he scored 122 runs in nine matches, including one half-century.
The man from Maharashtra has represented a few teams in the Indian T20 League. The 38-year-old has played for Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai in the Indian T20 League. He flourished as a utility cricketer for India under MS Dhoni’s reign. He has 27 wickets in ODIs to his name. MS Dhoni used his as a part-time spin option because of his unique bowling action. In addition to batting and bowling, Jadhav could also keep wickets.
He last played for Chennai in the Indian T20 League. He was part of Chennai in 2018 when they won the Indian T20 League. In the same season, he helped Chennai get out of a sticky situation against Mumbai in the first game. The Indian T20 League 2023 edition starts on March 31.
