Commonwealth Games 2022: Results for India on Day 10
Team India’s medal tally at the Commonwealth Games 2022 stands at 55 medals which comprise 18 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 22 bronze medals. This is the medal tally after day 10 of the Birmingham Games. India has performed admirably throughout the competition, which has led to a strong position in terms of medals earned. The 10th day at the event was a success as well.

Boxers Nikhat Zareen , Amit Pranghal and Nitu Ghangas won gold medals while Sagar Alhawat ended up bagging the silver medal.
When it comes to table tennis, the mixed team of Achanta Sharath Kamal and Sreeja Akula clinched the gold medal while Sharath Kamal and G Sathiyan won a silver in men’s doubles.
In Badminton, Kidambi Srikanth won bronze in men’s singles, as did Gopichand and Jolly Treesa in Women’s doubles.
Coming to Squash, Saurav Ghosal and Dipika Pallikal won bronze in the mixed doubles. In Women’s Hockey, The Indian Team beat the reigning world champions New Zealand and brought home the bronze medal.
The Women’s Cricket team ended with a silver medal in a close final against Australia losing by a very slender margin of 9 runs. Nevertheless, the Women’s Team will be happy with their effort and will look to go for gold in the forthcoming editions of the Commonwealth Games 2022.
When it comes to Triple Jump Eldhose Paul and Abdulla Aboobacker claimed the top two spots in this sport.
Annu Rani and Sandeep Kumar won a bronze medal each in women’s Javelin throw and men’s 10km race walk.
Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu made it to the final in men’s and women’s badminton singles, respectively, while Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty made it to the men’s doubles final in badminton.
Achantha Sharath Kamal reached the men’s singles final in table tennis.
India’s Medal Tally
Australia leads the table with 173 medals followed by England with 168 medals. India remains in the 5th position falling behind New Zealand and Canada which have 48 medals and 90 medals, respectively.
