Commonwealth Games 2022: India’s Schedule on Day 9, 6th August

After an action-packed day 8 of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the Indian contingent will continue to put their best foot forward to bring more medals home. The spotlight will be on Hima Das, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, and Vinesh Phogat as they take the field in their respective events.

India are currently ranked seventh in the medals tally, having won 20 medals so far, including 7 Gold, 7 Silver, and 7 Bronze. The last two medals were won by Murali Sreeshankar, who won a Silver in Athletics, and Sudhir, who won a Gold in Para Powerlifting.

The Indian Contingent will be aiming to move up in the tally by toppling South Africa and Scotland who are placed 6^th and 5^th respectively on the table. India finished third on the medals tally in the last edition of the Games in 2018 with 26 Gold medals.
