Commonwealth Games 2022: India’s results on Day 9
India has won 40 medals at the Commonwealth Games 2022 so far, which includes 13 gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze medals. The Indian contingent has put up a great show at the Birmingham Games. India always has done well at the games, and they have always got a great haul of medals. The best show put up by India in Commonwealth Games was when India hosted the games in 2010.
The Weightlifters have put on a great show in the games right throughout the event. The Judo players also have put up a great show. The table tennis teams and also the Indian team from the sport of Lawn Bowls have done beautifully in the current edition. The Indian Women’s Cricket team have beaten England to reach the finals of the cricket event. The Women in Blue are assured of a medal irrespective of the result of the final that will take place today against Australia.
India’s Results on Day 9
Naveen beat Muhammad Sharif of Pakistan in Wrestling: 74 kg Men’s Freestyle to win the third Wrestling Gold Medal of the day.
Ravi Kumar Dahiya beat Nigeria‘s Ebikewenimo Welson on technical superiority to win the Gold in Men’s Freestyle 57 kg wrestling.
Bhavina wins the Gold Medal Match 2-0 to secure the first gold in Para Table Tennis at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Priyanka won a historic silver in the 10km Race Walk in 43:38.00 seconds.
Avinash Sable won silver in the 3000m steeplechase with a Personal Best and National Record of 8:11.20, just behind Abraham Kibiwot of Kenya, who finishes with 8:11.15.
