‘Clinical bowling performance this- Fans impressed as bowlers put India in command on day 2
After failing to seal the T20 International series, the Indian cricket team is facing an uphill battle to win the Test series to not only save themselves from embarrassment but also to keep them afloat in the race to World Test Championship Finals. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul seems to get the job done for India, as India are all over Bangladesh in the first test match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
India continued their batting from 278/6, with Shreyas Iyer resuming from unbeaten 82 with Ravichandran Ashwin on the other end. However, the start of the day did not go well for India as they lost Shreyas Iyer for 86.
When Bangladesh seemed to get ahead of the game, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav stitched a 92-run partnership to take India closer to 400. Though Ashwin fell at a personal score of 58, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Siraj took India over 400 before the entire team getting dismissed at 404.
Bangladesh had a poor start to their innings as Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Siraj picked a wicket each as Bangladesh were reduced to 5 for the loss of two wickets within 3.3 overs. Though Litton Das tried to get Bangladesh back on track, India soon reduced them to 102 for the loss of eight wickets. Litton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim and Zakir Hasan are the only three players in the host’s line up who touched 20 runs. Kuldeep Yadav wrecked havoc with his vicious spin bowling and Mohammed Siraj with his “hit the deck” bowling as both accounted for seven wickets at Chattogram.
Bangladesh still need 71 runs to avoid follow-on in the first Test match. Ebadot Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraj are at the crease for Bangladesh.
Twitter is abuzz with saveral reactions. Here’s a look at some of those:

Again a very useful hand from @ashwinravi99 and India has enough. 350 plus on this wicket is a good enough total to push @BCBtigers #INDvBAN

Ravichandran Ashwin has read the pitch to perfection. Knew when to take the risk, knew when to defend deep and has played like a champion thus far. Reminds me of his knock against England in Chennai, similar conditions, maybe that was worse. #INDvBAN

Something exciting about seeing a spinner who looks like taking a wicket with every ball he bowls. Kuldeep Yadav is in excellent rhythm
