‘Chulia bhagwan ko’- Twitter reacts as fan invades pitch during IND vs AUS final in ODI World Cup 2023
India vs Australia in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023. The Men in Blue got a good start with skipper Rohit Sharma, he again took on the Aussie bowlers. Shubman Gill was dismissed for four runs playing a pull and was caught on mid-on. During the game, a pitch invader came inside the ground. The incident took place in the 14th over when a fan managed to get past the security and onto the field. The fan managed to reach the pitch and hug Virat Kohli,
The fan was wearing a t-shirt that read “Stop bombing Palestine” and was also carrying a Palestine flag with him. His face mask even featured the Palestine flag on it. Rohit got off to a good start and scored 47 runs before being dismissed by Glenn Maxwell. Shreyas Iyer was the next one to be back in the pavilion after scoring 4 runs.
Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are in the crease with the two batters keeping the scorecard ticking with the singles. The former has scored yet another fifty and has been looked in good touch. Rahul on the other hand has played a slow keeping his side and not giving his wicket. Kohli has been dismissed for 54 runs by Pat Cummins.
India eyeing a defendable score
Rohit Sharma wanted to win the trophy for the head coach Rahul Dravid he said, “Rahul Dravid’s role has been absolutely massive, especially in terms of giving role clarity to players. It’s quite contrasting in how he played his cricket and how I play my cricket and to agree on certain things, to give us that liberty, that says a lot about him. What he has done for Indian cricket is massive and he also wants to be part of this occasion. Let’s do it for him!”
With the dew in mind, the Indian team would love to score 250 plus runs in order to give their bowlers the best chance to defend the score as the Men in Blue bowlers have done that.
