Chris Gayle’s huge statement on Suryakumar Yadav –

Former West Indian batter Chris Gayle is in India to play in the Legends League Cricket 2023 tournament. Hindustan Times newspaper took this opportunity to ask the 44-year-old what he thought about the comparisons between himself and Suryakumar Yadav.

Chris Gayle replied “No, there’s no other Gayle. There will never ever be another Gayle. There will never ever be. It’s only going to be one Universe Boss, just one,” This sent the members into a chorus of laughter.

SKY as he is fondly called has become a huge name in T20 Cricket and smashed a match-winning 80 in the 1st game. The 33-year-old did not have a great 2023 ODI World Cup but his T20 form still remains the same.

Speaking about Rohit Sharma though Chris Gayle was all praise for the Indian skipper. “I like his aggressive batting. I want batters to destroy bowlers, and Rohit is one of them who does that.”

Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle were known for their bond during their time together at RCB. Hindustan Times happened to question Gayle on his bond with the former Indian skipper. The 44-year-old seemed to have nothing but praise for Kohli and complimented him for scoring 50 ODI centuries.

“Absolutely, man. When I was playing for RCB, he was already phenomenal, even in ODI cricket. It was no secret back then. It was all right there in front of all of us, and from there to see him get to the 50th century in ODI cricket, that’s unbelievable. To break a legend’s record like Sachin, that’s fantastic. We have to give the guy as much credit he deserves. That’s phenomenal. And I don’t see anyone getting close to that or breaking that.”
