‘Chasme ka number badal gaya hai shayad’ -Fans roast Imam ul Haq as he talks about beating India in 2023 World Cup
Imam-ul-Haq has been a prolific run scorer for Pakistan in ODI cricket. The left-handed opener talked about wanting to do well in India. He said that Pakistan wanted to defeat India at any cost at home. He said The Men in Green had been planning for the 2023 ODI World Cup since 2019. He also said that it was a big positive to see a lot of competition for the opening slot on the Pakistan side.
Pakistan and India last played each other in a bilateral series way back in 2012-13. Since then, the two nations have not been playing bilateral series. They are restricted to playing in multilateral events like the Asia Cup and also in World events. The Men in Blue have had the wood over the Men in Green when it comes to 50 over World Cup matches. India has won all games from 1992-2019. They will want to do the same in 2023 at home.
We want to beat India in India- Imam ul Haq
“We had already started thinking about the 2023 World Cup during the 2019 World Cup. Everyone wants to beat India in India and perform well,” Imam said in an interview with a local TV channel. “Our preparations for the upcoming World Cup are pretty good. We have formed a balanced side, which is playing regularly. We will get eight matches before the Asia Cup, which is adequate in my opinion,” Imam added.
“The competition for the opening spot is a good thing for the side. When you see players come into the team with a new batting style, it improves your own performance. These youngsters bat with a fearless approach in PSL as well, which is great to see. It also helps us, who have been playing for six to seven years, realise that we need to improve our game,” Imam said about the opening batting slot in Pakistan Cricket.
The ODI World Cup in India is to start on October 5 as per reports. The final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. This is the first time that the World Cup is being held in India since 2011. India won the World Cup that year by beating Sri Lanka in the final by 6 wickets.

As always before every World Cup, we are used to hearing such comments. Winning the WC should be your priority not just beating India. Good player btw. Focus on your game boy!!

Bus India par hi focus rakhna tum log. Kaash yeh bolte ki World Cup jeetna hai. Issi wajah se tum log aajtak tarakki nahin kar paaye life mein. 1970 mein bhi aise hi the aur aaj 2023 mein bhi aise hi ho. Yahi tumhari barbadi ka reason hai.

Good to have an aspiration to beat the best. At least in that process can win against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
