‘Captain cool ke sath cool’ -Fans react as photo of Naveen-ul-Haq with MS Dhoni gets clicked in IPL 2023
The fans present at the Ekana stadium were deprived of a full game due to rain, but Naveen-ul Haq’s photo with MS Dhoni ruffled a lot of feathers on social media. The former had coped with the brunt of his aggressive altercation with Virat Kohli after the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants ended. When the Afghanistan international put out the picture with MS Dhoni, there were a lot of views on social media.
When LSG and RCB clashed against each other in Lucknow, there were two heated altercations that took place after the game. One involved Kohli and Gautam Gambhir and the other involved Kohli and Naveen-ul Haq. There was already what Gambhir did at Bangalore by showing a gesture with his finger on his lips. At Lucknow Kohli did the same but signalled the Lucknow crowd to cheer for RCB instead of the home side.

Naveen-ul- Haq has had altercations with other players across T20 Leagues in the past
When Naveen put out the photo with MS Dhoni some fans were really hot-headed and went after him. While some fans marveled at him for showing a lot of respect for the CSK skipper. Naveen and Kohli had a bad spat where Naveen looked to aggressively shake off the latter’s hand. The former RCB skipper somehow shook it off. Later on, Kohli and Naveen were at each other’s throats on social media via Instagram posts.
The Afghan pacer has had altercations in the past with the likes of Shahid Afridi, Thisara Perera, and Mohammad Amir in the Lanka Premier League. He also had one with D’Arcy Short in the Big Bash League. Naveen has also played in various T20 Leagues around the world. This is his first IPL stint. Gambhir and Kohli had two rounds of going at each other this season.
When Kyle Mayers approached Kohli to have a chat, Gambhir was seen pulling Mayers away from Kohli. After the spat happened, many former cricketers gave their two cents on the issue. The likes of Harbhajan Singh and Ravi Shastri have said that any animosity between the two needs to resolve at the earliest.
