Call of Duty League Stage 2 Major Qualifiers; Week 2 overview
Week 2 for the Call of Duty (CoD) League Major Qualifiers concludes with New York Subliners still dominating the leaderboard. The team has now won 4 out of seven matches in the qualifiers.
All teams will qualify for the Major 2 regardless of their wins or losses. However, more wins mean more CoD League points and better seeds in the Major. OpTic Texas and Toronto Ultra have also won their three matches till now.
Out of the 12 teams, the top eight will secure a spot in the upper brackets at the Major. The remaining will start at the lower brackets.
New York Subliners Vs Atlanta FaZe and Boston Breach
The second week saw Subliners against Atlanta FaZe and Boston Breach. The opening match against Boston Breach went by pretty easily with an easy 3-0 win. However, FaZe put up a great fight, making Subliners work for their wins.
The match went on for the entire five maps, with both teams taking wins one by one. With the teams at equal hands, it was time for the decider match. Both teams played search and destroy on Invasion, with Subliners taking the final map and the win.
Miami Heretics on a losing streak
Miami Heretics also played two matches this week and lost them both once again. While the team did put up a great fight compared to last week, it wasn’t enough. The team now has three remaining matches after losing all 4 of their matches. If this keeps on, the team will start in the lower bracket in Major 2.
