The Shpageeza Cricket League in Afghanistan has been its equivalent of the Indian T20 League. This league has been Afghanistan’s backbone in promoting T20 cricket in the war-torn country. This tournament is organized by the Afghanistan cricket board every year.

It has been going on presently but in the midst of all, a blast has rocked the Kabul stadium and left the fans and spectators in huge scare. Details of the incident have not been yet revealed and the cause of the blast remains a mystery.

Reports are coming in that there has been a bomb blast in Kabul cricket stadium. During that time, it was hosting a Shpageeza Cricket League match. In a video uploaded by a user named, “Kabir Haqmal”, the spectators can be seen leaving the stadium screaming and in a very panicky state.

The details of the incident are not out yet. However, the match is put on hold for now.

Shpazeega Cricket League is currently going on in Afghanistan. The league stated off on July 18 and is scheduled to go on until August 5. A total of 32 matches will be played in the league, including the playoffs. AMO Sharks took on Speen Ghar Tigers, earlier in the day, and the latter made a thumping win.

Speen Ghat Tigers are currently leading the table with five wins out of six matches they played. They lead the table with a stunning net run rate of 2.185. Boost Defenders and Kabul Eagles are in second and third position respectively. Boost Defenders are yet to lose a match in the league.

The Mis Ainak Knights are in the fourth position with two wins out of the five matches they played. Pamir Zalmi has got the wooden spoon  of the table at the moment after  losing all the five matches that they have played.

As of now, Band-e-Amir Dragons have a chance of making it  into the top four ahead of Mis Ainak Knights. But then their net run rate is far behind and might put them in the fifth position at the end of the league stage. With some more matches to still be played  in the league, there might be some interesting changes in the top four.

The Qualifier 1 will be played on August 2, followed by Eliminator on the same day. Qualifier two will be played on August 3 and the final will be on August 5th respectively.
