The use of cobra and krait species snake venom in samples taken from the party is revealed by a forensic investigation, according to the police, marking a significant development in the Elvish Yadav snake venom-rave party case. The well-known YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner has been mired in a legal maze since a raid in November 2023 on a rave party in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, which he attended, raised suspicions that attendees were using snake venom to get intoxicated.

In addition to being charged with going to the party, Mr Yadav is also charged with possessing and using snake venom. He mentioned Bollywood singer Fazilpuria to police officers, saying the singer orchestrated the snakes in one of his videos. In a sting operation last year, People for Animals (PFA), an NGO, arrested five people for smuggling snakes. Nine snakes, including five cobras, were rescued from Elvish Yadav’s party after the arrested people admitted that they had supplied snakes for the event. Additionally, approximately 20 millilitres of suspected snake venom were found inside the party.

Elvish Yadav in legal trouble:

Mr Yadav faces charges for both possessing and using snake venom in addition to attending the party. He told police officers about Bollywood singer Fazilpuria and claimed that the singer had orchestrated the snakes in one of his videos. All accusations are refuted by Elvish Yadav, who rose to fame via his YouTube channel and victory on a reality show.

On the basis of remarks made by Rahul Yadav, a supplier detained in relation to the celebration, the police have questioned the 26-year-old twice in an attempt to learn more about his involvement in the sale of snake venom. During interrogation, the accused individuals stated that they provided snake venom to rave parties hosted by Elvish Yadav.

Elvish Yadav was the subject of a formal complaint filed at the Noida Sector 49 police station after samples from the rave party were submitted to the Jaipur FSL for examination. Although drug use is governed by the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985, no charges have been brought under this act because no drugs were discovered at the scene. Elvish Yadav vehemently denied the allegations, calling them fictitious and without merit, and vowed to fully cooperate with the ongoing police probe.
