‘Bowled by Mrs Thakur’ – Fans react as Shardul Thakur’s adorable wedding pictures go viral

Indian pacer Shardul Thakur has begun the new inning of his life after getting married to his fiance Mittali Parulkar on Tuesday in Karjat city near Mumbai. The couple got engaged in November 2021 at the Mumbai Cricket Association.

Thakur is the third Indian cricketer to get married this year after KL Rahul and Axar Patel. Rahul got married to his long-time girlfriend and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, while Axar married Meha Patel in Gujarat. Thakur shared images from the wedding on his social media and they have been adored by the fans congratulating the newly-wed couple.

“I learnt to appreciate your light when I encountered your shadow! In good times and in bad, in happy and sad, I promise to be your friend, from now till the end!” wrote Thakur while sharing the images.

Rohit, Chahal and Iyer also became the part of celebration

Various Indian cricketers became part of the celebration to shower their blessings on the couple. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was accompanied by his spouse Ritika Sajdeh, while leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was also present with his better half Dhanashree Verma. Thakur’s skipper in the upcoming Indian T20 League Shreyas Iyer also made his presence.

Thakur’s wife Parulkar hails from Kolhapur in Maharashtra. She runs a company called ‘All the Jazz – Luxury Bakers’. The Bakery provides different varieties of cakes, cookies, bread, buns, etc. She completed her graduation in 2014 from Mithibhai College.

Thakur is also a part of the Indian squad that will take on Australia in the upcoming three-match ODI series starting on March 17. India are already by 2-0 in a four-match Test series. He will also play for the Kolkata franchise in the upcoming Indian T20 League under the leadership of Iyer. The tournament will kickstart from March 31 with the match between Chennai and Gujarat at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
