Shahid Kapoor confesses the truth:

The actor made an appearance on Neha Dhupia’s chat show BFFs With Vogue in 2019. He apologised for not taking up the role in the Aamir Khan film Rang De Basanti. Shahid disclosed that he was asked to consider the part that Siddharth ultimately took on. He remembered how the script made him cry. He was thrilled with it, but regrettably, things did not work out, and he was unable to participate in the film.

‘Rang De Basanti’ is one of the best cult films ever. The movie has become a legend among viewers. In addition to Aamir and Siddharth, Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, and British actress Alice Patten starred in the film. Rang De Basanti had R Madhavan making a cameo appearance as well. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film Melophiles still finds great pleasure in this music.

In reference to ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, the tagline of the film refers to an impossibly romantic tale. Dharmendra plays an important role in it as well. Laal Peeli Ankhiyaan, the first song, was released by the makers recently.
