Bobby Deol is being lauded by fans and celebrities alike for his performance in Animal, which was released on Friday and has performed exceptionally well at the box office. He was asked about the hype surrounding Abrar Haque, his character in Animal, and audiences’ disappointment over the actor’s limited screen time in the Ranbir Kapoor film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor.

Bobby stated that his Animal character had a lot of substance and that he wasn’t concerned about the role’s length. He explained, “It’s not the length of the role; it’s the kind of character that has so much substance. I wish I had more scenes, but I knew when I signed the contract that this was all I had. At the time, I was grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to play this role by Sandeep (Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga). I knew I only had 15 days of work and wouldn’t be able to stay for the duration of the film. I expected people to notice me, but I had no idea there would be so much love, appreciation, and affection. It’s amazing! It’s incredible.”

Bobby Deol gets candid:

Bobby Deol describes his character in Animal as a man ‘obsessed’ with vengeance and says he approached the role from a non-judgmental standpoint, completely surrendering to the thought process of his barbaric antagonist. The actor believes his Animal character has the potential for a spin-off. Bobby said, “People have loved the character so much that there should be a spin-off. It’s so encouraging to know that people appreciate your work and want to see more of you in that role. It feels great.” Bobby was recently seen in paparazzi videos getting teary-eyed as he sat in his car, possibly reflecting on the journey and the film’s success.

Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, stars Bobby in addition to Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Shakti Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri. The story follows a dysfunctional father-son relationship set against the backdrop of crime and the underworld. On December 1, the film was released in theatres and competed at the box office with Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur. Animal has already grossed over 350 crore at the global box office.
