Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans produced yet another nail-biting and low-scoring thriller in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023. Both teams played the 44th match of the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. The visiting skipper David Warner asked his batters to take the charge first after winning the flip of the coin.

But the top and middle order of the DC batting lineup failed unbelievably against the sheer excellence and experience of the veteran Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Shami. In the first innings, DC could manage to post a below-par total of 130 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Although they amazed everyone in the second innings by defending this total and restricting the defending champions six runs short of the target to register the third win in the tournament.

The fans were also in full awe of the Delhi Capitals and the efforts of their veteran pacer Ishant Sharma in the last over of the match when he was given to defend 12 runs in the last over. A section of the cricket fans immediately took to Twitter to react to this thrilling finish of the match between the table toppers Gujarat Titans with the number 10 team of the points table, Delhi Capitals.

Speaking of the action of the match, it was only the lower-order batter Aman Hakim Khan who carried on the batting of Delhi Capitals in the first innings and helped his team to post a total of 130 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Aman scored 51 runs with three boundaries and three sixes to his name.

The veteran GT pacer scalped four wickets by conceding only 11 runs in his quota of four overs. Other than him, the senior pacer Mohit Sharma and star spinner Rashid Khan also scalped two wickets respectively.

While chasing the target, the defending champions Gujarat Titans choked down the bowling attack of DC and they could score only 125 runs for the loss of six wickets in the entire 20 overs and lost the match by five runs. Ishant Sharma and Khaleel Ahmed scalped two wickets each for the visitors.

Other than these two, Anrich Nortje and star spinner Kuldeep Yadav also claimed one wicket each in favour of the Capitals.
