‘Bharat ke batters ko left-arm pace bilkul khelne nahi aatha’- Fans fuming as Australia reduce India to 66-5 in the 2nd ODI against Australia
India did not get off to a great start in the second ODI as Mitchell Starc breathed fire on the Indian top order. The left-arm pacer made the India batters dance to his tunes. He picked up the wickets of Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. Rohit will not be happy with the shot he played. He fell chasing a wide delivery and the catch was caught in the slips.
Suryakumar Yadav could not use his 360-degree technique against Starc and perished to the left-arm pacer. The Aussie pace spearhead had Rahul caught on the crease and picked him out lbw. This has been a below par batting performance from the Indian top order. They played rash shots and allowed the Australians to get on top of them.
Hardik Pandya was dismissed by Sean Abott due to a stunning catch from Steve Smith
India have had a big problem against left-arm pacers for a long time now. The Indians have not solved it. The national side have not had it easy batting against these types of bowlers, and it has been the same with the ball as well. India have not been able to produce a quality left-arm pacer since Zaheer Khan and Irfan Pathan.
Like the first ODI, the second ODI also appears to be a low scoring encounter. It is like a UNO reverse card as Mitchell Starc and Australia have been all over India like a rash. The Indian’s look flustered and have not approached this game well after winning a close encounter at the Wankhede against the Kangaroos a few days earlier.
Sean Abott came on and dismissed Hardik Pandya with a tremendous catch from Steve Smith. This only added to India’ woes. The fans will not be happy with a side which is looking to break its world title drought since 2013. The World Cup will be held in India this year for the first time since 2011.
Let us take a look at the reactions on Twitter-

I don’t want to see Hardik Pandya or SKY play another ODI for India until they’ve proven they are actually worth of a berth in the team. They’ve been sub-par for far too long now. #INDvAUS 🏏

The problem is even if #SuryaKumarYadav gets a golden duck in the next 10 matches, he will still consume that spot.
Because the moment he makes a fifty, people will forget those ducks.
We don't appreciate consistency, we expect and value miracles.#SanjuSamson #INDvAUS

-No left handers in top 6.
-Struggle against swinging deliveries of left arm pacers has once again exposed indian batting line up.
-SKY has only 110 runs in last 10 ODI matches, no where to deserve no 4 spot in ODI's#INDvsAUS#SuryakumarYadav #sky #IndiaVsAustralia #hotstar— Vaibhav Shrivastava (@Vebby_Vaibhav) March 19, 2023
