Bhai, itna galat kaise ho sakte ho’ – Akash Chopra’s predictions once again goes horribly wrong in MI-CSK clash in IPL 2023, gets trolled on social media

The Indian Premier League has gotten off to a fine start and the games have been off the highest quality. The big clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings was a great game for the fans of cricket. There was a packed house at the Wankhede Stadium. The number of yellow shirts outnumbered those in Blue. The game was very memorable for CSK fans but a heartbreaking one for MI fans.

But one person, who has to get his prediction game right, is Aakash Chopra. The face of Hindi commentary on Jio Cinema has been having a hard time with his predictions. For the MI-CSK game, following are the predictions that he made:

1. Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green will score 65+ runs collectively.
2. Jofra Archer will pick up 3+ wickets.
3. There will be 10+ sixes hit in the match and MI will trump CSK.

But the reverse happened. A picture of the predictions has gone viral. Fans, are in a funny way, blaming Aakash Chopra for MI’s loss against CSK. Archer did not play the game as Rohit Sharma said he was rested as a precautionary measure.

10+ sixes were not hit in the match. Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green did not score 65+ runs collectively but scored only 13 runs in total. CSK won the game by 7 wickets and got the big bragging rights on the day of the ‘El Classico’.

The unlikely hero for CSK was Ajinkya Rahane, who played like his younger self when he was playing for the Rajasthan Royals. Rahane has got a century when he played for RR. On Saturday, against MI, he brought his A game and smashed the fastest IPL fifty in 2023. The Mumbaikar made a cracking 61 off 27 balls with seven fours and three sixes.

CSK were bang on with the ball as the spinners dried up MI runs when they were in operation at both ends. Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner picked up 5 wickets between them and shut the door on MI in the first innings itself. It was a very hapless batting performance from MI.
