‘Bhai, dukaan band kar apni’ – Fans troll Aakash Chopra for yet another wrong prediction ahead of DC vs MI game

Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by six wickets in a final-ball thriller in IPL 2023

David Warner, Rohit Sharma, and Ishan Kishan were expected to score runs at the top of the order in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Mumbai Indians, according to Aakash Chopra (MI).

On Tuesday, April 11, a battle between the two teams without a victory in the competition occurred in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. In his three innings thus far, Warner had amassed 158 runs at a below-average strike rate of 117.03; Rohit and Ishan were yet to contribute a significant knock to the competition.

Aakash Chopra backed Delhi Capitals to win the game vs Mumbai Indians

David Warner, Rohit Sharma, and Ishan Kishan were predicted by Chopra to contribute significantly with the bat in a video preview of the match posted on his YouTube channel, saying, “Warner, Rohit and Ishan will together score more than 75 runs. I am expecting runs from all three of these openers. I am expecting a little more intent as well.”

Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed, and Jason Behrendorff were predicted to be among the wickets by Chopra, who said, “Nortje, Khaleel and Jason Behrendorff – these three fast bowlers will together pick up four or more wickets. Of course, two left-armers and one Anrich Nortje, if they play.”

According to Aakash Chopra, at least 12 sixes will be made in Tuesday’s game. His justification was, “It is a small ground. More than 12 sixes should be hit on this ground. I am expecting a high-scoring encounter.” In his final statement, the former cricketer turned commentator predicted that the Delhi Capitals would defeat the Mumbai Indians to get their season started. “I am saying Delhi to win. That’s what I am saying; I feel Delhi will win. I won’t mind if Mumbai wins. It is a battle between my workplace and my birthplace. It is a fight between the heart and brain, what can be done,” Chopra opined. However, as the game progressed, Mumbai Indians ended up beating Delhi Capitals by six wickets in a final-ball thriller.
