Ben Stokes and co. look forward to implementing ‘Bazball’ over arch rivals in Ashes 2023

England and Australia will draw swords against each other in the 2023 Ashes. There will be a high intensity battle fought for the Urn this time around. Australia are coming of a dominating win in the World Test Championship final. England got a great performance going against Ireland in the four-day Test match ahead of the big five Test match series against Australia. It will be great to see who comes on top.

England have taken Test cricket to a whole new level as the have implemented the Bazball philosophy in it. England’s method of being ultra hard and aggressive has paid of as they mauled Pakistan in Pakistan 3-0 recently. Under the Brendon McCullum, Ben Stokes combination, the Three Lions have won 11 out of 13 Tests and have been a huge reckoning to watch out for in red ball cricket.

“Obviously, conditions can dictate how you can do that but we will always try to adapt to the conditions and still have that positive mode, which is to go out and have as much fun as we can and always look to put pressure on the opposition regardless of who it is. Not facing the man, but facing the ball,” Stokes said ahead of the Edgbaston Test. England will know that they cannot take Australia lightly given that the Kangaroos drew the Ashes the last time they were in England 2-2 and took the urn.

“Moeen Ali is going to come in here and I’m looking at what he can offer to this team on his best days and not worrying about anything else,” Stokes added. Moeen Ali made a comeback to Test cricket and replaced Jack Leach who was out of Ashes 2023 due to injury. David Warner said that people will see a different avatar of him in the Ashes. Scott Boland has also been a revelation for the Kangaroos and was a potent weapon when these two sides last played.
