‘Bangalore ne purra hisaab barabar karliya’ – Fans react as low scoring LSG vs RCB thriller ends with Virat Kohli clashing with Gautam Gambhir
KL Rahul hobbled off the pitch during the second over of Lucknow Super Giants‘ bowling in their IPL 2023 encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore, raising serious injury concerns for the team. It will be surprising if the Lucknow captain comes to bat in the remainder of the innings because he appeared to be in excruciating pain.
Before Bishnoi gave LSG their first wicket, RCB openers Faf du Plessis along with Virat Kohli added 62 runs for the first wicket. Then stand-in skipper Krunal Pandya grabbed the wicket of Anuj Rawat to give their side an upper hand and the momentum brought them another wicket in the form of the vicious Glenn Maxwell who was dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi. Bangalore were struggling with three wickets down with 80 runs on the board and only 7 overs to go.
In contrast to Naveen-ul-Haq, who claimed three wickets, Amit Mishra as well as Ravi Bishnoi each claimed two. Faf du Plessis contributed for RCB with 44, regaining the Orange Cap in the process. After being held to 126/9 in 20 overs against Lucknow Super Giants during their IPL 2023 encounter on Monday in Lucknow, RCB got off to an excellent start. The hosts added 34 runs while chasing the tricky 127-run total posted by the Royal Challengers Bangalore while losing four wickets in the powerplay.
Following the powerplay, Nicholas Pooran was then out in the first over while Marcus Stoinis along with Krishnappa Gowtham were batting in the middle. They showed some respite to the aggressive spin bowling and the pressure put on them by the Bangalore fielders but due to some brilliant bowling and fielding, the duo was removed and that put the Lucknow team in a whole heap of trouble. KL Rahul was seen in the dug-out but it was unsure whether the team management will risk sending him to bat in a lost chase. He came out to bat when only one wicket was left and a lot of pressure was on him, to take his side home from a tough position.
Dinesh Karthik was amazing behind the stumps today as he effected one stumping and two run-outs and it was crucial as his side were able to avenge their last ball defeat earlier this season to the same opponents. In the end, Bangalore had the game in the bag as they won the game by 18 runs.

This match was weird and was of necessary/unnecessary drama (start to end).
KL should've had come in 16-17th over if they wanted to win.

But not a fan of Siraj increasingly getting arrogant on the field. I get the frustration, but he gotta keep it in control.
