It was the first match of the 2018 Asia Cup. Sri Lanka was on fire straightaway as they reduced Bangladesh to 1/2 in no time. Tamim Iqbal was retired hurt. So, the score was effectively 1/3. In walked Rahim and played one of the best innings in Asia Cup history. The middle-order batter scored 144 runs in 150 balls and helped Bangladesh to score 261 runs. Bangladesh won the match by 137 runs.
