Animal – Triptii Dimri confesses Ranbir Kapoor & Sandeep Reddy Vanga made her feel comfotable before intimate scene!
Triptii Dimri’s intimate scene in Animal with Ranbir Kapoor has gotten a lot of attention. In an interview with India Today, the actor opened up about filming the much-discussed sequence with Ranbir. Triptii recalled how filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga told her about the scene while she was signing the contract. She also stated that Ranbir and others kept asking her if she was all right during the shoot. Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor also play important roles in Animal.
Triptii Dimri said, “While signing the project, Sandeep told me that there’s a scene, and I want to shoot it this way, but I will make it look aesthetically amazing. I want to make a Beauty and the Beast-style image. And this is what I’ve got. I leave it up to you, whether you’re comfortable or not, you let me know, and we’ll work around it. So, when I saw the references, I thought to myself, ‘Wow, this is a significant moment between the two characters’ That made me feel at ease.”

She further added, “Fortunately, in my case, whether I was doing the rape scene in Bulbull (her 2020 Netflix film) or this one, they kept asking me if I was okay. They also made certain that no more than five people, including the director, DOP, and actors, were present during the scene. Nobody else was allowed on set, all monitors were turned off, and they said, ‘This is the scene we’re doing.’ Please let us know if you are ever uncomfortable. We’ll proceed at your pace… Ranbir Kapoor checked in on me every five minutes, asking, ‘Are you okay, are you comfortable?’ These things, I believe, are extremely important. People are aware of these issues.”
The Central Board of Film Certification proposed eight cuts to Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal just days before its December 1 release date, including an ‘intimate scene’ between two characters. Close-up shots of the characters – Ranbir’s Rannvijay Singh aka Vijay and Triptii’s Zoya – were deleted in an intimate sequence, according to a copy of the certificate.
Anil plays Ranbir’s father in the film, and Rashmika plays his wife. Bobby Deol plays the antagonist in the film, which has been a box-office success in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada.
