The Mumbai franchise did not get off to a good start as they lost to Bangalore by 8 wickets. The Mumbai batters suffered an early jolt until Tilak Varma played a classy innings of 84 off 46 balls with nine fours and four sixes. His innings held the Mumbai total together and allowed them to get to a competitive total of 171-7 in their 20 overs. Karn Sharma was Bangalore’s best bowler as he picked up 2-32 in his four overs.
Rohit Sharma did not have the best of starts in the Indian T20 League. He fell to Akash Deep after scoring 1 run of 10 balls. The Mumbai skipper did not have the best of beginnings and was subjected to hateful chants at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. In a video that has taken social media by storm, a group of Bangalore fans can be seen chanting ill directed remarks about Rohit Sharma. They can be heard chanting ‘Vadapav Vadapav’ while Rohit was making his way back to the changeroom.
Mumbai are without the services of Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer this season
Rohit has not been in good form in the Indian T20 League over the last few seasons. His failure with the bat did not give Mumbai a good start and also put them on the back foot at 48-4. In the second innings, Bangalore made light work of the total as Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis chased down the target of 172 in 16.2 overs. Kohli was well complemented by du Plessis who made 73 off 43 balls with five fours and six sixes.
Mumbai’s bowling also did not rise up to the occasion. Jofra Archer did not have the best od returns to the Indian T20 League. Mumbai were hit by Jasprit Bumrah and Jhye Richardson being out of the tournament due to injuries. While Mumbai’s batting looks strong, the bowling has not been able to complement the batting in the past year.
The Rohit Sharma led side finished last in 2022. Mumbai had Bumrah in 2022 but were without the services of Archer. Hence, the Bumrah-Archer combine did not become a reality. The same will be the case this year. Mumbai on a happy note have won five Indian T20 League titles and are one of the most successful franchises in the league.

This is not at all good man, he is our indian captain and one of the greatest openers in this era. You can't degrade him for your personal satisfaction or for RCB.

If u think this is cool or something then I feel sorry for u my friend. That guy has devoted 15yrs of his life to serve his country at the highest level and here are some jobless people who combined do not even earn even 1% of rohit decide to call him vadapaw.
