Ahead of release, Ridhi Dogra & Anshuman Jha to launch a comic book of their film Lakadbaggha at ComicCon 2024

‘Lakadbaggha (The Hyena),’ the world’s first Animal Lover Vigilante comic book, is set to launch soon, as actor Anshuman Jha proudly announces. This innovative project, which was created by American illustrator Brittain Peck, will be unveiled at ComicCon in 2024.

The comic book series will tell the origin story of the action film that won the “Vision Award” in Stuttgart last year, went on to win Jha the “Best Actor” award at the HBO South Asian Festival in New York, and received over 100 million views on its digital release in India. In July of this year, the film’s sequel opens nationwide.

Lakadbaggha at ComicCon:

Brittain Peck says, “Lakadbaggha is an extraordinary film—it’s the birth of a superhero who is an ordinary man. It gives me great pleasure to collaborate with Anshuman on the comic book series and to be able to incorporate his amazing artistic vision into our own comic book series. Arjun is a straightforward but strong man who serves as a vital reminder of our duty to stand up for the weak in our society.”

Anshuman Jha, who gained notoriety for his theatrical performances as the movie’s masked vigilante, expressed his excitement for the dream project. He said “Lakadbaggha has been a dream project, and it’s exciting to see it enter the comic book industry. This is a project that will endure long after we are gone. I am excited to be working on this with Brittain, who shares my belief in becoming the voice of the voiceless.” 

The acclaimed characters “Arjun Bakshi” (Jha) and “Akshara D’souza” (Ridhi Dogra) are set to come to life in a fresh and visually stunning manner in the comic book. The filmmakers have surely found the best way to promote their upcoming movie. It will be interesting to see the movie as a comic book. The fans at ComicCon are ready to be impressed by Lakadbaggha.
