Actor Yash, who gained notoriety from KGF, advised fans not to hang banners, chase bikes, or take risky selfies in the wake of his three electrocuted fans’ deaths. In an interview with the media, the actor further pledged to provide financial support to the families who had visited their loved ones before they passed away. On Monday, Yash celebrated turning 38 years old.

Yash told the media, after visiting the bereaved families, “If you wish me wholeheartedly, from wherever you are, that is the best gesture for me. I’m afraid of my own birthday because of tragic events like these. This is not how fandom is displayed.”

Yash promises financial aid:

He further added, “Please don’t express your love in this manner. I would like to ask of you all. I want all of my audience and fans to grow in life as much as I do, so please don’t hang banners, chase bikes, or take risky selfies. If you really are one of my fans, then work hard at what you do, put yourself first in everything you do, and you will succeed and be happy. Your families depend on you the most, so you should strive to make them proud.”

On the occasion of Yash’s 38th birthday in Surangi, Karnataka, three of his fans were electrocuted while hanging birthday banners. The names of the deceased are Hanamanta Harijan (age 21), Murali Nadavinamani (age 20), and Naveen Ghazi (19). Three additional people suffered severe injuries and were treated after being brought to Lakshmeshwar Hospital.

The KGF star went on, “I prefer not to show my fans how much I love them in order to prove my popularity. No matter how angry my fans get, I will always limit the showcasing. However, I don’t want to let anyone down. First, if you respect me, act responsibly. Your parents are at home waiting for you. We cannot bring the dead back, but it is not about monetary support that one can extend.”

Yash had previously informed followers via an X post that he would be out of town on his birthday and would not be able to meet with them. The actor revealed the true reason behind his decision to forego celebrating his birthday on the first day of the event: “This year, I didn’t want to celebrate my birthday because COVID cases are rising. There shouldn’t be any harm from our end. That’s why I kept it simple and decided to celebrate only with my family.” Yash responded in the affirmative when asked if he would give the affected families financial support.
