Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, and Anthony Albanese, the Prime Minister of Australia, attended an event to commemorate “75 years of friendship” between their two nations before the fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Ahmedabad. Before the game, there was a special ceremony where PM Albanese and PM Modi were honoured by Indian Cricket Board president Roger Binny and secretary Jay Shah, respectively.

What did Ishan Kishan do before meeting Narendra Modi?

Before the fourth Test against Australia began, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shook hands with the Indian players, and it appears that something interesting happened at that time. Ishan Kishan, a member of the Indian Test team, stood out among the athletes when they shook PM Modi’s hand. The wicket-keeper batsman was previously seen stuffing his hands down his pants. It’s possible that as Kishan was adjusting and tucking in his jersey, images of him sticking his hands in his pants went viral, eliciting negative responses from online users.

Both team captains, Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith received their Test caps from their respective prime ministers after a traditional song and dance. PM Modi greeted Rohit as soon as he gave him the Test cap. Rohit then greeted Smith as well. The quartet eventually joined hands and smiled for the cameras in a touching scene.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant has been a significant loss for them in this series, according to Rohit Sharma, who stated that during a pre-game news conference. Ishan Kishan was chosen because of his aggressive temperament, he added. Nonetheless, Rohit asserted that KS Bharat would receive backing for the forthcoming games.

Rohit Sharma said, “When we knew that he (Pant) is not going to be available for us, that was one of the reasons we got Ishan (Kishan) in. He’s a left-hander, can play attacking (cricket). Speaking about (KS) Bharat, he has spent a lot of time in domestic cricket, Ranji Trophy, India A, zonals and he has scored a lot of runs. So, it will be slightly unfair to judge him on these kinds of wickets. Especially if someone is making their debut, you have got to give him enough room or innings for him to set himself up for a big score. That is important.”
