Anderson gave a big hug to Broad when he heard about his retirement.
Jimmy Anderson told me are you joking, Stuart Broad on retirement from international cricket
“I knew deep down that I wanted to finish playing cricket at the very top,” Broad said. “Part of me wanted to know that I could still do it. I’ve had a love affair with the Ashes my whole life and the thought of being able to bowl my last ball against Australia is something that fills me with joy. So that’s come to fruition. And it’s been the most enjoyable series, the most entertaining series, the most edge-of-the-seat series that I can remember. I just feel in a fantastic place as a player, as a person, and just feel very happy and content at the moment.”
“When I told him he just said, ‘Are you joking?’ Then we had a hug,” Broad revealed about his conversation with Anderson. “It never felt quite right for the two of us to go together, I think we needed some sort of crossover. It is nice to know one-half of that partnership will still be within the changing room.” Broad added. When it comes to the Ashes Test at the Oval. Broad will be looking to add some quick runs to extend England’s lead which is on 377. Then he would want to scalp some wickets as Australia have an uphill task ahead of them in the fourth innings.

Can’t deny that his personality and views weren't my cup of tea, but when he was out there bowling with the red cherry, I was all eyes! He's been a legendary servant for England cricket! Happy retirement, Broady!

Broad's retirement hurts just bcz it is sudden, we were thinking about Anderson but broad was the one.
He's in best form currently, we want to see him play thats obvious. But what a career he had, leaving his legacy at peak.
