‘Absolute delight to watch India Legends’ – Twitter goes bonkers after India Legends register clinical win over South Africa Legends

The 1st match of the second season of the Road Safety World Series began in Kanpur at Green Park. This tournament will involve 8 teams from different countries and will roll the clock back in the minds of the cricket fans as the legends take centre stage once again. The India legends won the toss and opted to bat first.
India legends were provided with a great start by Sachin Tendulkar and Naman Ojha. The latter was looking in good touch and scored for boundaries in his cameo of 21, but his stay was cut short by a superb catch at point by Jonty Rhodes. Sachin Tendulkar looked in good touch, too, and the trademark shots were on show. He was dismissed after scoring just 16 runs in the 6th over.
Suresh Raina and Stuart Binny got together in the middle after two wickets were down. It was a masterstroke from the India Legends skipper Sachin Tendulkar to send Stuart Binny ahead of Yuvraj Singh as the former was a recent retiree and also since he was the coach for Assam. Binny did not disappoint as he carted the South African legends bowlers all over the park and scored a magnificent 82 from 42 balls with 5 fours and 6 sixes.
Raina looked good in his innings of 33, which had 4 boundaries and 1 maximum but got out trying to up the ante. After Yuvraj Singh fell quickly, Yusuf Pathan joined Stuart Binny and gave the perfect finishing kick for the India Legends. He scored 35 from 15 balls with 1 four and 4 sixes.
This allowed the India Legends to get a massive total of 217-4 in their 20 overs. In the second innings, the India Legends bowlers were on song as they dismissed the South Africa Legends for just 156 runs with 9 wickets down. Rahul Sharma picked up 3 wickets and Munaf Patel and Pragyan Ojha picked up two each. Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan chipped in with a wicket each from their spells.
The lone bright spot for South Africa was Jonty Rhodes, who scored an enterprising 38 off 27 and played some beautiful reverse sweeps in his innings. This was a smashing win for the India Legends in the season opener.
