Royal Challengers Bangalore continue to be hit by injuries as the halfway stage of the IPL has been breached. David Willey has been ruled out of IPL 2023 with an injury. The left-armer will take no further part in the tournament as he has suffered a fractured toe and adductor strain from the previous game. He had been signed for 1 Crore INR by RCB ahead of the 2023 season. The RCB think tank has decided to replace Willey with Kedar Jhadav.

The old warhorse has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, RCB, the Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Jhadav has not taken the IPL by storm as he has only managed to score 1196 runs at a strike rate of 123.17. The right-hander has been involved in 93 IPL games. Jhadav has been a part of RCB before, and he has played in 17 IPL games and has represented the Bold Army for two seasons in 2016 and 2017.

The 38-year-old had one of his most successful seasons with RCB in 2017. It proved to be his most fruitful year in the tournament, where he scored 267 runs at a strike rate of 143.54. RCB will hope that his addition to the side brings some stability to the brittle middle order at present. Jhadav can also chip in and bowl a few overs of spin if need be. He also has an unorthodox action which is not the easiest to pick.

RCB has been plagued by injuries. The middle order has been starved of runs and has not quite fit the billing for them. The likes of Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik and Suyash Prabhudessai have not delivered in the middle order. As of now, the three-time finalists have had performances from just Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and skipper Faf du Plessis.

The Bold Army has not been able to win an IPL trophy in 15 editions of the tournament. If they have to have a good season then they need to find match-winners from the side that they have assembled and urge the players to step up and give match-winning performances.

It's actually good, we never know how these people perform.
For e.g in this ipl Mohit sharma, Sandeep Sharma and even Shankar are performing well.
So jadhav also do well.
