‘Ab yeh team World Cup mein kya ukhaad lenge’ -Fans react as West Indies hammer India by 8 wickets to take T20I series 3-2
West Indies and India locked horns in the 5th T20I at Lauderhill in Florida. India won the toss and opted to bat. This was the series decider as it was tied at 2-2. The pitch looked slightly different from the 4th T20I. The Men in Blue got off to a torrid start as they lost Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill both to Akeal Hosein.
At 17-2, West Indies strangled India. Barring Suryakumar Yadav who hit 61 off 45 balls with four fours and three sixes. He had some support from Tilak Varma who made 27 off 18 balls with three fours and two sixes. Other than the left-hander no one else could get going.
Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel departed cheaply. Due to lack of batting depth in the lower order India could muster a below-par 165-9 in their 20 overs. For West Indies, they bowled as a unit and kept India on a leash. Romario Sheperd was the star with the ball for the Men in Maroon as he took 4-31 in his four overs spell.
Brandon King hit a cracking 85 off 55 balls for West Indies
He took the wickets of Samson, Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav. Hosein, Jason Holder and Roston Chase supported him. Hosein picked up 2-24 in his four overs. Holder took 2-36 in his four overs burst. Chase was economical as he scalped 1-25 in his four overs spell.
In the second innings, The Indian bowlers could not get any inroads into the West Indies batting lineup—Brandon King who had an excellent series till now but could not get the big one. The right-hander smoked the Indian bowling attack all over the place as he smashed an unbeaten 85 off 55 balls with five fours and six sixes.
Nicholas Pooran came in at three and cracked a stroke-filled 47 off 35 balls with one four and four sixes. Shai Hope hit a quickfire 22 off 13 balls with one four and one six which was the winning hit. The West Indies made 171-2 in reply and won by 8 wickets.

#INDvsWI first of all please change the coaching staff & the captain also because they all are very much over confident about their selves,no body wants to rectify the previous mistakes worthless to watch such games rather than this I'll suggest to support other games ie hockey

Too many experiments were the reason to lose this series
Yes it's just bilateral but losing against the Windies is what makes it worse!
The talks on number 8 batter is pure nonsense
I mean if your top 7 can't bat well , you decide that you've lost the match#INDvsWI— Asvanth (@asvanth1808) August 14, 2023

I don't know why indian team management mix the Formats, ODI is a different format and t20 is different. India always behind in the t20 format, i don't know its mindset or the lack of skills in players but t20 coaching staff must be different this wont work. #INDvsWI

So India bottled up a series in Westindies which has not qualified for last year t20 and this year odi worldcup.
India prospects looks very slim going into WC 2023.I guess we need to learn and do better than cheesy statements…#INDvsWI#BCCI pic.twitter.com/zQRI9vrV1E
