In the 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Delhi Capitals is set to host Chennai Super Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday. In the day game, Delhi Capitals is set to Don a special rainbow jersey to celebrate the diversity of India. Notably, since 2020 DC has worn the jersey once per season.
However, CSK needs to win this game against DC to stay in the race for playoffs and qualifier 1. Meanwhile, Delhi based franchise has never lost a game in the rainbow jersey and would like to continue its dominance. The team has beaten Punjab Kings in their last game at the HPCA cricket stadium in Dharamshala.
In the Last season, the players donned the jersey against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their opening encounter of the second half of the season, after which it was auctioned off to help the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) in Vijayanagar, Karnataka. DC on social media revealed the jersey and said, “Ending our #IPL2023 campaign on a note! CSK has to win the IPL 2023 match to qualify for the knockout and have a chance to place in the top two in the league stage.
