Former India skipper Virat Kohli has the second-most number of centuries (46) in ODI cricket. He is only behind Sachin Tendulkar (49) and has left everyone apart from Sachin behind so far. Also, Kohli is the fifth-highest run-getter across eras in ODI cricket. Meanwhile, former Pakistan cricketer Khurram Manzoor has compared his List A number with the former India skipper’s ODI numbers

The former has played 166 games, the 36-year-old has amassed 7922 runs at an astonishing average of 53.52 including 27 hundreds and 39 fifties. However, his domestic performances couldn’t match the numbers at the international level. After playing seven ODIs, the 36-year-old only amass 236 runs at an average of 33.71 including three fifties. Even after doing well in domestic cricket, Manzoor hasn’t been considered by the selectors across formats.

My conversion rate in One Day is better than Virat Kohli: Khurram Manzoor

Meanwhile, during an interaction, the Karachi player went on to say that his conversion rate of the 50s into 100s is better than Kohli’s. The former pointed out that he scores a century after every 5.6 innings while Virat does it in six innings.

“I am not comparing myself with Virat Kohli. Fact is, in 50-overs cricket, whoever are there in the top-10, I am the world no.1. After me stands Kohli. My conversion rate in List A cricket is better than him. He scores a century every six innings. I score century every 5.68 innings. And based on my average of 53, over the last 10 years, I am ranked fifth in the world in List A cricket.

“I also have scored 24 centuries in the last 48 innings. Between 2015 and now, whoever has opened for Pakistan, I still remain the leading scorer among them. I am also the top scorer and century getter in national T20. Yet I get ignored. And nobody has ever given me a solid reason for that,” he said while speaking to Nadir Ali on YouTube.
